"Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission to be of service to them wherever they require it.” -- St. Francis of Assisi.

MISSION STATEMENT

Clatsop Animal Assistance, also known as CAA, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Oregon corporation dedicated to helping domestic pets in Clatsop County. In our three-fold mission we:

· Assist the homeless dogs and cats at the Clatsop County Animal Control and Shelter

Some of the ways we assist are providing food, medicines, cat litter, toys, scheduling and paying for vet visits, grooming, promotional advertising, etc. In these challenging economic times, the shelter’s budget cannot cover some of these much needed items and services, or funding is not readily available at a time of acute need.

· Help to reduce pet over-population

We provide spay/neuter certificates to low income pet owners, and schedule free or low-cost spay/neuter clinics when and where possible.

· Provide financial assistance to low income pet owners

In certain extenuating circumstances, we will work with low-income pet owners, case by case, to find financial assistance to help them meet their pets’ immediate or emergency health and medical needs.

Thank you for stopping by, and we hope you will enjoy taking a tour of the rest of the site, especially our donation and events pages!
