Brenda tells us, “Sookie is a little selective, but once you earn her trust she is a very sweet kitty. She yearns for a home with a high perch and an interesting window to watch.” And Lynn says she “is beautiful and enjoys being brushed.” Sookie is a large two and a half year old long haired torti cat whose owner couldn’t keep.
Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet her, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment. Due to Covid restrictions, only two people are allowed in the shelter at one time and each visitor is asked several health-related questions before being allowed in.
