You can’t find a sweeter, gentler girl than our Louise. This nine year old Boxer loves all the volunteers and is happy strolling down the street, sniffing everything around her, and then hanging out with us, preferably in the sun. We’re hoping to find her a comfy home where she can curl up in front of the fireplace or on the couch next to her people after a walk around the neighborhood.

Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet her, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to ac@co.clatsop.or.us or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment.

We are all in love with Milo. As Sue says, “Milo is a sweet, tender, affectionate fellow. He’s an eight-year-old snugglebear who is a dream dog. He calmly hangs out until it’s his turn to go for a walk then he politely waits to be leashed and walks calmly by your side. His kind eyes watch you closely and he knows how to sit and lay down. He appreciates any chance for petting or hugs and will curl into you, leaning, wiggling, and smiling. He has a gorgeous rich soft ebony coat with cowlicks and curls around his ruff. He gets along with cats and seems to like other dogs. He’ll do well in a family eager for a hug machine. Come meet this sweet boy.”
