Dallas is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of March 20, 2022
Volunteer Carrie tells us, “Cool cat is a term for a reason, and folks – at the shelter right now there is a cat who fits the term to a T. That cat is Dallas, a very handsome, plump young tuxedo. He arrived a little uncertain what had happened to him or why, copped a bit of attitude for a while. Personally, that was him playing a little poker. You never show your hand, after all, especially when you’re not sure what hand the other players have yet. Once he figured out the shelter crew were good people, he let it slip that behind the fearful exterior lay a truly wonderful, laid back, chill dude. Some might even say he is a righteous dude. 😉
Dallas has a pretty typical tuxedo jacket, but his facial markings are quite individual, with a little black swoosh coming down across his nose. Like most cats with dark coloration, his eyes really pop as he studies you and deems you worthy of giving him plenty of head scritches and pets. But what makes him the coolest of cats is the way he saunters about the room like an absolute king. His movements are quite deliberate and measured, filled with gravitas.
Dallas knows how cool he is and wants everyone to know it. When his people meet him, there’s no doubt they will fold their hand immediately and let him win their hearts. And, really, that’s no loss at all.”

Barnabus is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of March 13, 2022
Adopted!
Barnabus is always happy to see us show up in front of his kennel with a leash, ready for a long walk or even a run. This handsome five year old basset mix shows classic hound behavior on his walks – he’s either sniffing intently all around him or swiveling his nose in the air as he picks up scents all along the way. He has fun and so do we.
Note that Barnabus needs a home with children twelve or older. He seems to get along fine with the dogs at the shelter and should be good with other dogs in the house.

Hector is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of February 27, 2022
Natalie tells us, “Hector simply has a love for life – he’s happy to see you – he loves food – he loves to play. He’s just an all-around friendly dog looking for a lot of love, plain and simple. If you are looking for some young energy with a zest for life, then Hector is your guy.”
Marcy adds, “Natalie is right on; “happy” pretty much covers Hector’s personality. He’s fun to walk and he has a great time in the play yard chasing after the balls and toys and then coming over for hugs and snuggles. At a year-and-a-half, Hector has years of affection and goofiness to share with a lucky family.”
