Do you have a Clatsop County Shelter adoption success story you’d like to share? We’ve heard from hundreds of adopters over the years and would love to hear from you. Tell us about your travel and adventures, your experiences getting your new dog or cat settled in with your family and other pets, or how being a pet parent has enriched your lives. Email us at info@dogsncats.org with a short paragraph and a photo or two and we’ll get your story posted here.

Coco is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of May 22, 2022

Coco is simply a stunning young lady. She`s a 2 year old American pit bull terrier/black mouth cur with a polished tiger-striped coat with snowy highlights. The best part? She has a reverse mane standing up along her neck. Gorgeous. She loves playing in the yard with balls and splashing into the kiddie pool. She loves long walks and is learning to walk well on leash. She`s so excited to walk or play – `Let`s go now!` She would do well in a home with older kids and where she`s part of the family. She has lots of love to share! Coco requires a fenced yard.
Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet Coco, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to ac@co.clatsop.or.us or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment.
