As one volunteer says, “Bella is a sweet smoosh-machine that wants nothing more than to curl in your lap and give you a tongue shower.” This six-year-old female hound/pit mix walks well on leash, knows sit and takes treats gently. Bella is happy around kids (especially when they drop food) as long as they are old enough to not be knocked over by her friendliness. She does want her humans all to herself, so she’ll need be an only pet. She’ll also need a fenced yard for fun times with her family.
Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet Bella, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to email@example.com or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and placed in the drop box on the door. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment.
