This almost 4-year-old girl is a knock-out with her short lilac tabby coat and beautiful blue eyes. Poppy loves getting attention and playing with toys. She’ll greet you with curiosity and confidence, then will appreciate some petting and sitting near you when you are both ready for some quiet time. Poppy had some hard times before she came to the shelter, but she has been very lucky to get to live in a nice foster home where she has learned to trust people and has really enjoyed looking out windows and having human company.

Pet meet and greets are by appointment, so if you’d like to meet Poppy, call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to set up a time. The shelter is open 9:30 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday, closed 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch. You can also fill out an application here: https://www.clatsopcounty.gov/media/871. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to ac@clatsopcounty.gov or print it and deliver it directly to the shelter.
Adoption Fees:
Dogs: $110 for dogs younger than ten years and $50 for dogs ten or older.
Cats: $75 for cats younger than ten years; $20 for cats ten years or older.
Bonded pair (emotional attachment to each other) are available for the single price.
