Adopted!
Marcy tells us, “I’ve walked Roo many times and really like the guy. In fact, he’s usually the first dog I take out. He can be skittish when he first meets people, but that only lasted for a few minutes with me and now he’s affectionate and always eager to go the minute he sees me with the leash. He’s curious and alert the whole time we’re out and with some leash training he’ll make a great hiking or running buddy.
And those ears, adorable!”

Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet him, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to ac@co.clatsop.or.us or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment.
