Adopted!
Say hello to Sheldon! Sheldon is a 9 year old Jack Russell terrier who literally jumps for joy anytime a volunteer decides to walk him.
Carrie tells us…”Sheldon is a senior Jack Russell terrier with a lot of pep in his step. Sheldon loves a good walk and sniff, and a cuddle at the end of it. Truly, a perfect companion. Come meet this amazing fellow.”
Sheldon is a very happy guy with years of love to share. Bonus points: he is also very well behaved in a car and seems to enjoy himself. Sheldon requires a fully fenced yard and no kids under 18 please.

Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like a meet and greet, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to ac@co.clatsop.or.us or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment. Due to Covid restrictions, only two people are allowed in the shelter at one time and each visitor is asked several health-related questions before being allowed in.
