PET OF THE WEEK: MELODY

Adopted: Melody is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, HITS 94.3 KRKZ, and CLATSOP NEWS Pet of the Week for the week of March 22, 2020

Here’s Diane: “The old song says “A pretty girl is like a melody” and our tuxedo Melody is a very pretty girl indeed.  Besides her outer beauty, she radiates inner sweetness as well, always ready to show affection.  This is an all-around nice lady cat who will be an exceptionally loving friend to her new owner.”

PET OF THE WEEK: BERNIE

Bernie is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, HITS 94.3 KRKZ, and CLATSOP NEWS Pet of the Week for the week of February 16, 2020

Sarah, one of our volunteer dog walkers, tells us, “Bernie is the perfect gentleman, and the definition of a gentle giant. His calm nature is infectious and taking him out for a walk is the most amazing de-stressor. He’ll nuzzle up to your legs when he’s ready for some attention, and has a sudden bounce in his step when he gets excited about a treat, or something he smells in the grass. This dog is definitely a show-stopper – with his size and thick white coat (he reminds me of a small polar bear), people can’t take their eyes off him when he’s out for a walk.”

PET OF THE WEEK: DOMINIC

Dominic is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, HITS 94.3 KRKZ, and CLATSOP NEWS Pet of the Week for the week of February 9, 2020

Mitzi tells us, “Dominic is a handsome, independent male.  He enjoys surveying his domain from his lookout, preferring to keep a distance from other cats.

Twice a day he needs a small injection for diabetes, and is doing well with diabetic cat food.

Dominic will be a wonderful addition to a home with no other cats or small children.

PET OF THE WEEK: SOLOMAN

Adopted: Soloman is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, HITS 94.3 KRKZ, and CLATSOP NEWS Pet of the Week for the week of February 2, 2020

Although he’s almost twelve, Soloman has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for walks and play time. Volunteers agree this Lab/retriever mix is a strong boy but good on a leash. Here are some comments from two volunteers who have spent time with him:

Eric says, “He’s a mild-mannered pooch. He’s excited right out of the gate, but settles down into a very gentle walker. He knows his name and he knows ‘sit’. He looks back at you often and seems to be anticipating treats and seems to be very easy going.”

Natalie tells us, “Soloman wags his tail in big wide circles in excitement for a long walk! He absolutely loves a treat and stares at you with those golden brown eyes begging the question… May I have just one more treat please nice lady? Soloman’s face might be graying but his spirit is young!!”

This boy would prefer a home without cats, but has lived with another dog.
